Apogee Enterprises, Inc. announced the election of Russell Huffer, to Chairman of the Board effective June 22, 1999.
MINNEAPOLIS, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOG) today announced the election of Russell Huffer, 49, to Chairman of the Board effective June 22, 1999, the date of Apogee's next annual meeting. This election is part of a management succession plan that has been in process at Apogee for more than three years. Huffer will succeed Donald W. Goldfus, who is currently Chairman and will continue to be an active member of Apogee's Board of Directors. In addition, Huffer will continue to be Apogee's President and Chief Executive Officer, a position he has held since January 1998.
